You can be a catalyst to change in the world around us. More than ever, we need peacemakers to step up to bring healing to our communities. Here’s a question to ask yourself; are you building bridges or starting fires by the words you speak? I think this is a critical question to ask.
Listen here as we reflect on Luke 6:27, 28 & 6:30, or listen on your favorite podcast platform.
“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.” Luke 6:27-28
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
Jesus tells us to love our enemies, do good, and lend and hope for nothing in return. He said the Father causes the sun to rise on the good and evil. He said He sends rain to the good and evil. He gives good gifts to both. Can we not do the same?
Jesus also says to be merciful. God is amazing, and He is good. I think at the very core, Jesus shows the ultimate mercy, “Father forgive them for they do not know what they do.” No go and extend mercy to a world that is in desperate need of love.
