The Path

The breeze blows, and a memory stirs you. You stop and notice a longing in you.

The Path

Where am I, you think?

Have you traveled on that road that is wide and easy? You rush about here and there, and on the inside, you feel the weariness of your soul.

You glance out and notice a meadow, and you long to go and see.

In the meadow, you see another road. If You can even call it that, It is a small trail weaving and meandering through a field teaming with life.

They say few find it.

Come and walk its path. It’s not smooth like the highway. There are ruts, stones, and hills to climb. But along the way, you discover a beauty that was always there waiting day after day. You find out the trail leads to life.

Oh, the beauty and kindness of our Lord. He heals the brokenhearted, gives strength to the feeble, to some whose light was but a flicker, He flames it back to life. Come and see. Come and see.

“You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
