The air was warm against my skin as I walked up the path to a small workshop on the hill. The little shop was worn and unassuming, but there was something about it that seems to invite me to explore. As I approached, I thought, “certainly nothing good could be in this old abandoned-looking shop,” but as I entered, I saw a dusty workshop full of the works of a master craftsman.
From the outside, we may seem ordinary and unassuming, but on the inside, God is doing beautiful work. We’re in the workshop of grace. God, because of His amazing love, stepped inside and began a work in you and promises to complete it. The work He is doing is way beyond what we would ever ask or imagine.
We are in the workshop of grace, and in many ways, we are like the little shop where God is producing beautiful works inside us. We are part of a larger story and the works he is producing will shine through the ages. In the ages to come, He will show us the exceeding riches of His grace.
Remember and meditate on this truth today that God is making something beautiful in your life, even though today, you might not feel like it. It’s a work of grace, and He has promised to complete that work which He began.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:7
