“Your hands have made me and fashioned me;
Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.”
Psalm 119:73
We can try to figure life out or look to others for answers, but we cannot answer. So may we pray, Lord, give me understanding.
We can spend a lot of time figuring out our purpose because we think we will know our identity if we know our purpose. But our identity is not what we do. Our life and identity are made complete in Jesus.
What are you putting your hope in; a job, a skill, or someone else?
Our work and purpose are made whole in Jesus. He completes us.
Here are some thoughts to ponder…
I am overwhelmed with His love.
He takes these empty cups and fills them with the best of wine.
Jesus completes us when we are lacking.
He finds us when we are lost.
He restores my soul.
Jesus mends the broken, restores the lost, and heals the brokenhearted.
He makes us more.
Perhaps we find ourselves imprisoned by fears and, like John the Baptist, we ask Jesus, “are you the one.”
May these words of Jesus resonate in your soul,
“Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” Matthew 11:4-6
You.
He makes you more.
He completes you.
Receive and tell others,
He makes them more.
The good news has no boundaries.
Can you see the light breaking through the prison walls?
The words of Jesus.
The words of Jesus.
The words of Jesus giving life to all.
To the one who was dead,
Even a tomb couldn’t stop the love and power of Jesus.
“Come Forth!” Jesus said.
Jesus does raise the dead.
